Tomorrow marks the 90th birthday of Noel Neill, who is most famous for her portrayal of Lois Lane in the Adventures of Superman television series from 1953-1958.  She also played Lois in two Superman serials prior to the television series.  In addition, she has had a number of Super-cameos and guest appearances over the years, including a cameo as young Lois’ mother in Superman (1978).

I had the pleasure of meeting Noel at Superman Celebration several years ago.  She attends the Celebration each year, and she is as warm and gracious as you would hope.  She truly is the “First Lady of Metropolis”.
