The Pull List – 5/26/2010

0

Tomorrow is Fangirl Wednesday!  Let’s take a look and see what I’ll be purchasing.

Zatanna #1 – I know that it came out last week, but I didn’t have an opportunity to go by the comic shop and pick it up.

Power Girl #12 – Sigh.  I’ve really enjoyed this book, but I’m dropping it after this week’s issue due to the departure of Gray / Palmiotti / Conner.

Star Wars: Legacy #48 – Dammit, I’m still angry that Dark Horse has cancelled this title.  It will end with issue #50 in July.

Wonder Woman #44 – The last issue of Gail’s run.  I’m not sold on JMS taking over this title, but I’m willing to give him a few months unless DC jacks the price up to $3.99.

Welcome to Fangirl Wednesday

Welcome to Fangirl Wednesday!  This blog will the place where I praise/lament the state of comics and whatever else takes my fancy.

I am a fangirl of (in no particular order):

  • Star Wars (yes, I like the prequels, too.)
  • Anakin Skywalker / Darth Vader
  • Harry Potter
  • Barbara Gordon
  • Wonder Woman
  • Muppets

The term “Fangirl Wednesday” was born a couple of years ago when my friend Traci and I began meeting at a local comic shop each Wednesday that a new issue of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic or Star Wars: Legacy was released.  We meet, collect our comics, and head to dinner to read and talk/squee/rant.

Thanks to my awesome and talented boyfriend, Lin Workman, for the FGW logo and for encouraging me to start this blog.  Just remember, y’all have him to blame!

Pull up a chair, grab a drink and join in the conversation!
