Happy September, everyone!
- Brightest Day #9 – This book hasn’t been bad, but I keep waiting for it to knock my socks off. Hopefully, the book will pick up the pace since the 12 now know why they were resurrected.
- Secret Six #25 – Six vs. Six. Bring it on!
- Star Wars: The Old Republic #3 (of 6) – Meh, but I love the era so I’ll pick it up.
- Wonder Woman #602 – Yeah, I know it came out last week, but I didn’t get by the comic shop.

MTV.com posted an interview today with my friend John Jackson Miller regarding his upcoming Star Wars comic series and novel, Star Wars: Knight Errant.
Knight Errant was announced a few months ago following the cancellation of the comic series that made me into a comics fangirl, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, but details have been few and far between. John gave a bit more info about our “lone female Jedi” protagonist, Kerra Holt, and the state of the Galaxy, Far, Far Away during the Knight Errant timeframe in the interview.
I like the character design for Kerra. It is reminiscent of the design for Jarael in KotOR – attractive but not comic book proportions. Also highly capable and able to administer a butt-whipping. Female Star Wars fans now have another cosplaying alternative to Slave Leia!
Per the interview, the first issue is set for release on October 13. This series has been on my pull list since it was announced, so I’m very excited!

Wednesday is upon us! This week’s purchases will be:
- Birds of Prey #2 – It is ridiculous how much I missed this book. Gail can never leave this book again.
- The Joker’s Asylum: Harley Quinn – I’m not as big a fan of Harley as Lin is, but I do like the character. After all, we named our newest kitten after her.
- Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic Vol. 9 – Demon: The final trade for the series that pulled me into comics. Damn, I miss Zayne and Jarael.

Tomorrow is Fangirl Wednesday! Let’s take a look and see what I’ll be purchasing.
Zatanna #1 – I know that it came out last week, but I didn’t have an opportunity to go by the comic shop and pick it up.
Power Girl #12 – Sigh. I’ve really enjoyed this book, but I’m dropping it after this week’s issue due to the departure of Gray / Palmiotti / Conner.
Star Wars: Legacy #48 – Dammit, I’m still angry that Dark Horse has cancelled this title. It will end with issue #50 in July.
Wonder Woman #44 – The last issue of Gail’s run. I’m not sold on JMS taking over this title, but I’m willing to give him a few months unless DC jacks the price up to $3.99.
